KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a light week that saw just one contest of action for the Lincoln Memorial University men's basketball program, the Railsplitters rose one spot to No. 10 in this week's NABC Top 25 poll while remained at No. 11 in the D2SIDA Media Top 25 poll, as announced by the leagues on Tuesday afternoon.
Heading into week five of the regular season, Lincoln Memorial boasts an 8-1 overall record while moving to 5-1 in South Atlantic Conference play. This marks the first Top 10 ranking since January 26, 2021, when they were ranked fourth nationally. This week's ranking also marks the 154th week since December of 2010 that the Railsplitters have spent ranked in the national polls.
In a lighter week around due to finals across campus, Lincoln Memorial played one contest, traveling to Mars Hill, North Carolina to take on the Mars Hill Lions. Reaching the century mark for the first time this season, the Railsplitters were led by a season-high 20 points and career-high 13 assists from redshirt sophomore Chase Rankin in the 101-70 win over Mars Hill.
The Railsplitters will look to continue their dominant start to the season as they welcome UVA Wise (1-9 overall; 0-7 SAC) Wednesday to Tex Turner Arena for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
